The Association of Professional Landscape Designers is one of the industry’s most respected organisations, recognising projects that demonstrate exceptional creativity, technical excellence and successful integration between architecture, landscape and the natural environment. The award-winning project presented a series of complex design challenges, including significant grading considerations, stormwater management requirements and a mature wooded setting that demanded a sensitive, site-specific approach. Rather than working against these constraints, they became fundamental to the design, informing the layout of outdoor living spaces and strengthening the connection between the home and its surrounding landscape.

The completed design carefully balances architecture, hardscape and planting to create a series of outdoor experiences that feel cohesive, inviting and timeless. Every element – from design composition and material selection to planting selection and lighting – was thoughtfully considered to ensure the landscape performs as beautifully as it looks throughout the seasons.
